本实用新型公开了一种玻璃幕墙竖梃型材,其关键是以PVC材料制成一个横截面类似“士”型的塑料型材,其中间的主支承梃为一矩形的中空管状体,在主支承梃的内部还镶有截面呈“口”形或形“U”的增强型钢,在主支承梃的两侧有上横臂和下横臂,在横臂的端部还开有密封或压条槽口。这样构成的玻璃幕墙专用型材其受力杆件主要是增强型钢,而钢材的弹性模量是铝合金的三倍。另外,在抗风压强度相近的情况下,专用立挺塑料型材要比拼接塑料型材立挺节约用型材54%,节约用钢材38.5%,总宽度减小61mm,增加了透光面积。
